Employee Time & Attendance system for Airbus Spain

Zucchetti Axess recently implemented an employee Time & Attendance system for Airbus Spain using multifunctional LEGIC read & write terminals.

Airbus, a leading aircraft manufacturer with operations in 80 countries, recently upgraded the employee time & attendance system at its Spanish factories in Madrid and Seville. Italy-based Zucchetti Axess linked up with its Spanish partner, SoftMachine, to implement a comprehensive and multifunctional LEGIC advant based system.

Airbus and Zucchetti Axess established their initial contacts at a LEGIC meeting. That encounter developed into a challenging partnership, as the global aircraft company began to purchase LEGIC badge readers from Zucchetti Axess.

In 2010 Airbus drew up a shortlist of qualified suppliers for an upgrade project at four military aircraft factory buildings in Madrid and Seville. The project’s objective was to harmonise these facilities with Airbus Group security standards by replacing existing hardware devices with new LEGIC equipment. The system requirements were quite ambitious: multi-application capability, integration with the existing system, flexibility and functional modularity.

Zucchetti Axess enlisted a local partner, SoftMachine, to deliver 120 EtherTRAX+G terminals with LEGIC readers. They were specially configured to read the proprietary Airbus segment from advanced security LEGIC badges. The Zucchetti Axess-certified XAtl@s SAP connector module was used to interface the terminals with the SAP HR module. In addition, Zucchetti Axess X-Atl@s software was deployed for comprehensive online monitoring of terminal status and for real-time data transfer to the main server.

Although the customer requirements were highly complex and demanding, it was possible to complete the project within a short time frame. Thanks to excellent customisation by the supplier and the professional service delivered by the local Partner, more than 10,000 Airbus employees can now benefit from a cutting-edge time & attendance system. Encouraged by this first important LEGIC reference in Spain, SoftMachine elected to join the LEGIC Partner Network as a means of winning further business opportunities.

The access control system for small companies

MicroAccess integrates AXESS TMC software range of products offering a safe access control system for micro and small companies, which will find in this new application software the perfect solution to their security, access control and doors unlock requirements.

MicroAccess is extremely safe as it comes from a proven control software platform, that is successfully being working in hundreds of installations.
Based on a off-line architecture, MicroAccess is also safe from the problems which may occur in the network or damage the server: all the account credentials are programmed directly inside the server and then forwarded to the terminals, which first control the door and then unlock it, thus assuring the complete reliability of the system.

Besides managing all main AXESS TMC terminals, SuperTrax, SuperMAX+, Trax and Ultrax, MicroAccess can be also configured with EnTRAX and NeoMAX slave terminals.

Furthermore, MicroAccess can be totally integrated with PTM (People Time Management), AXESS TMC Time & Attendance software, offering therefore a complete and exhaustive Time & Attendance and Access control solution.

Orange Partner Training Courses

Topics of the Orange Partner Training Courses

The training we offer our new and long-term Partners are divided into 3 levels :
Orange Basic Training (free of charge)
Orange Advanced Training – Level I (with fee)
Orange Advanced Training – Level II (with fee)

Orange Basic Training

The Orange Basic Training aims to give an overview about XAtlas Access Control and Time and Attendance data collection software, describe its architecture and outline the basic concepts which will have to be well acknowledged by the participants in order to follow up the start up phases of a system.

From a practical point of view, this training is oriented mainly to the technical staff, anyway as well useful to Sales or Marketing staff wishing to know better the system.

The participants will get a global idea of the system and moreover will be able to configure and start a simple installation, based on the typical functions of the Time and Attendance data collection, Access Control and reception. Moreover, they will learn how to use the possible analysis functions and carry out a release upgrade.

Duration: 16 hrs in total
Max. nr. of participants: 8

Orange Advanced Training – Level I

The Orange Advanced training – Level I faces the typical features of more complex installations, those involving functions foreseen in the Security and Intrusion Detection Modules, the integration with Third Party’s applications (Video Surveillance, Fire detection panels, etc…), the self reception management and the card printing (photo-ID).

Duration: 16 hrs + 8 Practical Test
Max. nr. of participants: 8

Orange Advanced Training – Level II (Maintenance competence)

The Orange Advanced Training, Level II is aimed to enhance installation and maintenance competence. The main objective is to deliver additional and deeper knowledge about the XAtlas software and OrangeLink architecture in order to grant the Participants full autonomy in the system management.
The usage of diagnostic tools like SSH, Telnet, Field browser, remote connections, moreover the central WSM and peripheral Field Managers “LOG” recordings interpretation.

Duration: 8hrs + 8hrs Practical Test

Please note: The Orange Advanced Training Levels I and II will give Participants the chance to test in practice the theory learned during each session. Blue Basic Training

The Blue Basic training is addressed to Partners having just minimal or no knowledge about the AXESS TMC multifunctional terminals and readers (ULTRAX, TRAX+G, SuperMAX, Entrax, RFID/2). They will get an overall idea of the available models and the suitable applications which can be carried out, the kind of connections supported and their first level configuration.

Duration: 16 h in total

Blue Advanced Training, Level I

The Blue Advanced training is addressed to those Partners willing to develop their own communication system and management of the AXESS TMC terminals (ULTRAX, TRAX+G, SuperMAX), or rather exploit the advanced features of data entry, including systems based on re-writeable badges.

Duration: 16h in total + 8h Practical Test
