Power Supply Unit for XPoint
Functional characteristics
OP-PA01 is a battery-based power supply module capable of supplying power with the following characteristics:
• Designed for wall-mounting
• Capable of delivering 1A at 14V (Xpoint with reader)
• Capable of battery-powering one Xpoint for up to 4 hours (in energy recovery mode with display Off)
• Battery disconnection at 10V for overload protection
• Output can be connected in parallel with other power supplies
• Visual On/Off indicator for main power supply
• Battery state indicator (quick charge/switch-off)
• Connection to Xpoint through an RJ45 connection (FD BUS)
Protection
The equipment is protected against the following events:
• polarity reversal on the cables (RJ45) connecting to the FD-BUS
• voltage surge in the incoming power supply
• temporary short-circuit on the output
Modes of Operation
The OP-PA01 can power one Xpoint and one reader associated with it.
Visual indicators
The OP-PA01 can give signals to the user by the following means:
• red LED
• green LED
The most common indications are as follows:
• Green LED, lit steadily when main power is On
• Green LED, flashing when main power is Off
• Red LED, flashing during quick charging
• Red LED, steadily lit when switch-off is imminent
All indicator signals are generated locally.
